We had the pleasure of working on a project in Oakland, NJ, that highlighted our expertise in sourcing and installing authentic reclaimed materials for a timeless yet durable appeal. Throughout the house, we installed mixed hardwood reclaimed flooring, carefully selected for its rich patina and exceptional durability to withstand the high traffic of a lively household with kids, cats, and a busy family. This robust flooring creates a warm and inviting foundation that ties the entire space together while standing up to everyday wear and tear.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of the project was the custom hand-hewn beams we incorporated into the angled roof section. These kiln-dried beams, left uncoated to showcase their natural, rustic look, measure approximately 2″ in height, 6″ in width, and 6′ in length. We lightly sanded them to preserve their authentic character while ensuring a smooth finish, adapting them to fit the unique angled architecture. This approach enhanced the room’s structural beauty and added a distinctive, handcrafted element that elevates the overall design.
